About this Conference

An edited volume examining how artists and scholars are reimagining Surrealism through contemporary understandings of gender. The book aims to reclaim Surrealism as a democratic, inclusive space that challenges traditional gender binaries and explores intersectional perspectives.

Call for Papers

Call for book chapter proposals exploring Surrealism and gender. Seeking chapters from artists, academics, and researchers that engage with Surrealist strategies, gender studies, and contemporary art practices. Proposals should be 300-400 words, accompanied by a short biography. Full chapters will be 6,000-8,000 words.
