About this Conference
A workshop focused on Natural Language Processing (NLP) for Indigenous languages of the Americas. The event aims to encourage research on computational linguistics, corpus linguistics, and speech technologies for Indigenous and endangered languages, while connecting researchers from underrepresented communities.
Call for Papers
The workshop invites submissions of long papers (8 pages), short papers (4 pages), non-archival extended abstracts (2 pages), and technical reports (8 pages). Topics include dataset creation, linguistic typology, machine translation, NLP applications, LLM innovations, and ethical considerations for Indigenous language research. A shared task on image captioning of culturally relevant images will be featured.
