18th Symposium on Search-Based Software Engineering
SSBSE 2026
About this Conference
Search-based Software Engineering (SBSE) is a research area that focuses on formulating software engineering problems as search problems and utilizing heuristic techniques to attain optimal solutions. The symposium explores the intersection of AI, machine learning, and software engineering, applying optimization techniques to various software engineering challenges.
Call for Papers
The symposium invites high-quality papers describing novel and original works in all areas of SBSE. Papers can cover novel applications of SBSE, theoretical analyses of search algorithms, empirical evaluations, and industrial experiences. Submissions must be original, double-anonymous, and follow Springer's LNCS format. Paper length varies by track: research papers up to 15 pages, NIER track up to 6 pages. Topics include AI integration, search algorithm advances, and emerging domain applications.
